Sen. Ted Kennedy's Refugee Program Finds Full Expression in Biden Administration
The late Sen. Ted Kennedy never lived long enough to see his refugee resettlement program bear its intended fruit. Now instead of relying upon federal funds, U.S. citizens can scrape together the money to do their part to support the resettlement of refugees within the United States.
The program is called the Welcome Corps (https://welcomecorps.org/)
The Biden Administration launched Welcome Corps in January of last year to hasten the refugee resettlement process with the direct support of private citizens.
