Lucrative climate change deals are high atop the agenda in talks commencing today in Beijing between Climate Envoy John Podesta and his Chinese counterpart Liu Zhenmin for the Working Group on Enhancing Climate Action – as the City of London seeks to transform the post-petro-dollar world economy to keep its global development agenda on track – one that involves coordination among America’s mayors.
Reuters reports that little of substance will likely emerge from Podesta-Zhenmin discussions given that Donald Trump, the Republican challenger to Democratic incumbent Kamala Harris could win the election, reflecting the voluntary nature of national climate change initiatives that rely upon timing and public support to implement them.
